Project Overview: Erection of 30.0m Steel Composite Girder (Skew-20°) | ROB at LC No-89 SPL | Bilaspur–Rudrapur City | NH-42.275

This critical railway overbridge (ROB) project involved the successful erection of a 30.0-meter span steel composite girder with a 20° skew angle at Level Crossing No-89 SPL located between Bilaspur and Rudrapur City, Uttar Pradesh. The site lies on NH-42.275 at railway kilometer 42/5-6, a key intersection requiring advanced structural execution under strict time and safety constraints.

CICO was entrusted with the fabrication, trial assembly, transportation, and precise launching of the skewed steel composite girder. The design posed unique challenges due to its angular alignment, limited site accessibility, and coordination with live railway operations. Through detailed planning, CAD-driven fabrication, and precision welding, the skewed girder was assembled and launched with absolute dimensional accuracy and structural stability.

The project highlights CICO’s strength in managing complex ROB assignments involving skewed alignments and restricted windows for erection. Our experience in working under railway safety protocols, combined with our advanced launching girders and skilled manpower, ensured seamless execution without disrupting rail or road traffic.
