Project Overview
Development of ‘Ganga Expressway’ from Meerut to Prayagraj Access Controlled Greenfield Expressway Project Group-3 & Package -9
Project Location & Details
The project involves the erection of six composite girders, each with a 30.0-meter span, at a major bridge located at CH. 420+100. This structural execution is a critical component under Package-9, Group-3 of the prestigious ‘Ganga Expressway’, an access-controlled greenfield expressway connecting Meerut to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.
The bridge section, marked between CP1–P1 & P2–CP2, is a vital crossing along the alignment, designed to support high-speed vehicular movement with minimal disruption. The use of composite girders—which combine structural steel with reinforced concrete decks—ensures superior load distribution, ease of modular construction, and long-term durability under heavy highway traffic.
This expressway is a cornerstone of Uttar Pradesh’s infrastructure development strategy, aimed at reducing travel time, promoting logistics efficiency, and boosting economic growth across the region. The bridge erection requires precise coordination of lifting equipment, safety systems, and on-site welding and bolting activities, aligned with IRC and RDSO specifications.
Once completed, the bridge will significantly enhance connectivity and serve as a durable, high-capacity asset within the Ganga Expressway corridor, playing a key role in India’s next-generation highway infrastructure network.
