Project Location & Details
The ongoing project involves the launching of a 53.0-meter Open Web Girder (OWG) skew span, fully supported over a track beam and trestles, utilizing a winch and pulley mechanism for controlled pulling and placement. This complex erection is part of the Proposed Road Over Bridge (ROB) at Railway KM 376.630, situated between Borvihir and Mohadal stations on the Chalisgaon–Dhule section at Level Crossing No. 19 at KM 376/8-9.
The OWG is being installed at a skew angle, demanding high precision in alignment, structural balance, and winch-based traction. The deployment of trestles and track beams ensures safe clearance over active railway lines, allowing uninterrupted train movement during erection.
This ROB is a vital infrastructure enhancement aimed at eliminating level crossing bottlenecks, improving road safety, and ensuring seamless traffic flow for regional commuters.
Once completed, the bridge will offer a long-lasting, maintenance-efficient solution designed to withstand dynamic loads, railway-induced vibrations, and high vehicular density—making it a crucial link in the transportation upgrade of Maharashtra’s regional rail-road network.
