Project Location & Details
The proposed project involves the construction of a Six-Lane Road Over Bridge (ROB), consisting of twin three-lane structures, at Railway Km 315/14 and 315/16 located between Jhusi and Ramnathpur stations. This site lies along the busy Prayagraj–Manduadih railway line under the Varanasi Division, with the corresponding National Highway chainage at Km 55+983.
Designed to enhance road and rail infrastructure integration, the ROB aims to eliminate the existing level crossing bottleneck, ensuring uninterrupted vehicular flow and eliminating delays caused by rail traffic. It will significantly improve safety for both rail and road users by reducing the risk of accidents at the level crossing and accommodate the increasing traffic load with its six-lane capacity.
This project will serve as a vital link in the regional highway network and streamline transportation within Prayagraj and Varanasi districts, playing a key role in supporting economic and commuter activity along this important corridor.
